Dr. McKinney attended the University of Alabama graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He furthered his education at Alabama's School of Dentistry with honors, graduating in 1998. He then attended The University of Tennessee's Health Sciences Center earning his Certificate in Orthodontics in 2001.
His accomplishments and activities include: Honor Council Member, Student Government President, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Society member, Hinman Scholar. While in Orthodontic Residency, he was appointed Chief Resident.
Professional associations include: The American Dental Association, The American Association of Orthodontists, The American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, The Alabama Dental Association and The Alabama Association of Orthodontists. |

Dr. McKinney enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, mountain biking and is involved with church functions and Christian medical/dental mission trips to various countries. His wife, Lisa, is also a graduate of the University of Alabama. She is an accountant and currently teaches full-time at the University in the Culverhouse School of Business. They were married in 1998. |
